Personal History
II just LOVE riding motorcycles! I started riding at the ripe old age of 48, and have fallen in love!
I took up riding after having 2 plates and 10 screws put into my neck. I know, dumb, right? I was in a car accident, and when I was in recuperating from the 2 surgeries I had, I decided that I wanted to live my life differently. Life is short, and I was going to do things I always wanted to try. Riding motorcycles was one of them.
Now, I am really into riding. I ride motocross and I dual sport. I started racing a few years ago. There aren't many women who race, so many times I find myself racing in the men's classes.
Surfing is my first love, so you can usually find me out in the water with my husband and my stepson (who used to be a pro motocross racer).
Riding Goals
My riding goals are to continually get stronger as a rider and racer. I have so many different things to work on, too numerous to list here! I started racing on a Honda 150 in the women's beginner class, and my goal is to take my Yamaha yz125 in the intermediate class.
Competitive Highlights
My biggest highlight as a racer was to win the beginner OTHG race against men at Barona Raceway. It's not a huge accomplishment, but for a 51 year old lady, it was for me!!!
