Personal History
I am a 52 years old and live in Pearland, TX. I am married with one daughter. My passion is motorcycle riding. I do all types of riding from touring to adventure bike riding to competitive off-road racing. I started off riding as a 9 year old and raced competitive Motocross until I went to college. I was ranked 5th in my region in the midwest and raced at Loretta Lynn's and in the Astrodome before hanging up my boots for about ten years. I got back into the sport of off-road riding with friends in Texas and started competing in hare Scrambles last year.
Riding Goals
I started in the over 50 C class last year and half way through the year got to a point where the competition was too easy so I moved up to over 50 B class. I started working out and getting serious as I found out the B class was much more competitive than the over 50 C class. This year I am one of the top riders in my class and my goal is to finish the season in first place overall. We race for points and so far I am in first place for the season. The series I race in is called TORCS (Texas Off-Road Championship Series). We have approximately 25 guys in the over 50 B class so it is very competitive and fun! I am making a bunch of new friends who have the same passion that I do...racing!!
I plan to move up to the over 50 A class next year.
Competitive Highlights
This year, out of the 4 races so far, I have placed 1st twice and second twice. I am currently in the points lead in my class.
