Rider Updates

Jun 25 2009

Well, it's been a slow summer so far. I haven't been able to get out at all because of the slow economy and a lack of funds. I will still be going to one event in July before the GNC at Red Bud on the 1st of August. I have been training harder than ever and I have been putting in a lot of time in the saddle of my road bike in the heat and humidity. I competed in my first triathlon on June 7th and did very well. I was pretty stoked for sure!! Thanks again to all of my sponsors and supporters. Even though I am not out there that often I will continue to do my best to spread the word for all of you.

Well I did it! I won both classes I ran over the winter months at the Sandbox Areana. I was a bit worried because of the mechanical issues I had and scored a couple DNF's but I stuck with it and came away with some wins and won both the +25 & +30 chapionships.

Now I am tearing my bike apart and shipping the engine out to Rossier Engineering to have Joe do some magic for me.

Thanks to all of my supporters and sponsors. I appreciate all of the help you have given me.

Well, I just raced in the second round of the Sandbox Arena Winter Series. This round went much better, to say the least! I felt much more comfortable on the bike and I finished in first place every time I got on the track. My starts were ok and I took 2 holeshots on the day and in my other motos I made some smart moves and fought up to first by the third lap in both of those.

When I repaired my bike from the last rounds damage I changed gearing to get a better setup for what I will need this coming summer and it was too high for the tight confines of the sandbox. On my second lap of my first moto I got into first and went for the big stepup jump and came up waaaaay short. I cased it bad but nothing broke and I rode it out safely. I just didn't have enough motor to get it done but next round I am planning on running one of the A-classes and focusing on getting a rythym on all the jumps and not on results. I just want to get better and being on a stock motored bike is making me work much harder to keep up with the faster guys. Well, thats all for now. I'll be back on the track on Jan. 12th.

Well, I started my new season on Sunday. We drove 3-1/2 hours up to the Sandbox Arena for the first round of the winter series. I was very rusty and I rolled everything in my 2 practice sessions as it was my first time riding my new quad (ever!!). So jumping and things were going to take some getting used to.

But, being a gamer like I am, when the first gate dropped I jumped out to a second on the start and followed the first place rider and made my way around the track. He gapped me because he is a bit faster but I also gapped 3rd by about 20 seconds by the time the checkers flew. IT was a successful moto and a good practice session.

My+30 moto was much like my +25 one but I didn't get the best start and was in 4th but I made my way into second before the end of the first lap and I stayed on the leaders tail right to the finish. There were many times I could have drove it in hard on him but I was there to gain some confidence on my new bike and I kept it clean.

My second +25 moto started again, in second and I was pressuring for first but when we hit the big tripple I came down and snapped my axle and my day was done.

All in all it was still a good day. I came away with more confidence and unhurt (except my wallet) and I really had a lot of fun. I will deffinately be there for the whole series and I know I will be winning races before too long.

Thanks for reading!

Well, I'm new here on MXSponsor.com. I have been riding for most of my life but I have only been racing for the past 6 years. I just bought a 2009 DS 450x MX ATV and I am waiting on delivery. I will be competing in the Sandbox Arena indoor MX series this fall/winter and then once the frost breaks, lookout. I'm going to be taking the local scene by storm!! I'm going to focus more on local motocross and stadium racing next year to try and get more bang for my buck. I will race a few nationals but I'm really going to be focusing my efforts on racing locally every weekend. As far as my personal life goes, I just celebrated my 1st aniversary with my wife Jennie and she is my biggest supporter. I am really looking forward to hooking up with some great sponsors and taking my whole program to a new level. Well thanks for visiting my page! PEACE!!
