Personal History
I am 29 years old. I live in the epicenter of MX, Windsor, WI haha. Seriously though, It is a great area to live. We have about 15 tracks within 4 hours of my house. Including 2 of the best in the nation, Red Bud and Millville. I race whenever I can. I got started racing kind of late because I was in the USMC for 8 years but I have ridden since I can remember. My mom's rule was if you can't start it, you can't ride it. So my brother and I would jump on the kickstarter on our Honda ATC and get it going and ride till we ran out of gas. It was awesome haha. I started racing because trail riding just wasn't doing it for me. I love the competition and I love having to workout during the week to be successful on the weekends. It is very rewarding to me to race even if I don't win. I guess I just like the rush of it.
Riding Goals
For the fall of 2008 and into 2009 my goals are to race more than ever. I am planning on racing the Amsoil Sandbox Arena indoor winter series and then for 2009 I am going to be focusing on racing every weekend. I won't know for sure until the District 16,17 and 23 schedules are released but my thoughts right now are to race more District 17 events and some Friday evening races at the stadiums.
I really took a step back and re-assessed my program this year and I am really trying to streamline everything. I sold everything that I had and I am starting out fresh. I bought a new bike and I am working on establishing myself with some good solid sponsors that I can help and be helped by. I am really excited about the future and I am really looking forward to it.
Competitive Highlights
I would say my best memory from racing would be running the 6-hours of Wisconsin with my brother. It was probably the toughest thing I have ever done. I am used to racing MX and I completely exhausted and dehydrated myself to the point that I couldn't even see or stand. My dad and brother had to carry me to the truck and in one way it was the worst feeling ever but in another, it was great knowing what we had accomplished.
Also, every time I go to a national is a special experienc for me. I really enjoy the whole scene at these events and I have made some great friends from all over the nation. I have had a couple runner-up finishes but not an overall so that is my goal for the future-get on top of the box!
