Personal History
My name is Rance Heath Knight, but i just go by Heath mostly.I first got intoduced to Motocross at the age of 11, me and my father went to a race at lake whitney MX in lake whitney TX. Ive been hooked ever since. I got my first bike at the age of 12, it was an old suzuki 80, one of Trey Canards old bikes to be exact. I learned to ride that bike over the summer and i grew 5 inches in one year so i got a yamaha yz125 and started racing the next year in the beginner class. My first year i raced [2002] all the Ponca City National Qualifiers and qualified 6th in the state. I would say the whole opportunity to race at a national my first year and being in the national atmosphere is what really set it off for me. I placed 22th overall that year. That fall i put my head down and worked hard and competed in the fall Texas/Oklahoma Pro Circuit series and placed 12th overall. The next following year i moved up to the novice class and havent looked back since. In the summer of 2006 i took a break from the racing scene to start persuing college. As of April 2011 i have finished college and am now a Certified Motorcycle Technician. i recently just got back into racing at the first of this 2011 year. I now ride a honda crf 450 and i absolutely love being back on a bike on a track.Motocross has had a big impact on my life and now even my career. After finishing school i have big plans for my future and try to give back to the sport.My goals for long term is to stay in the sport and try to introduce a track side support or even a small team/rider that i can wrench for. I just ride/ race for the fun and love of the sport now. I do want to try to qualify for Lorrettas in the following years as a +25 rider once i can get financially/ fitness ready.

This next 2012 season i plan on racing all the local races near Abilene,TX and try to get a step closer to my goals of a trackside support program.

2003- Lake Whitney Spring Classic- 40th overall 125C. Ponca City Grand nationals 35th overall 125C. 19th overall 125schoolboy.Texas Oklahoma fall classic 25th overall 125C.
2004-Lake Whitney Spring Classic DNF got injured.
2006-Lorretta Lynn Regional Qualifier, 15th overall 125C.
