The weekend of school starting we made our way down to a small town outside of Cedar City, called Panaca. The start was flat and short. When the banner dropped my bike started no problem. Towards the end of the bomb the girl in second place, Caitlyn Kurtz moved into my line so I had to swerve over a little. When we reached the first corner she started breaking but I didn't want to be in the dust so I held on the throttle a little longer, reaching the corner first. After that I never saw her again until the finish.

June 6th I had the opportunity to race the Snowville National. It is the first race combining three series in almost 20 years, USRA, NHHA, and SIDRA series. The start was sketch. It was wide open in a planted field, going the opposite way of the planted rows. I got a way good start and was out front until the end of the bomb when I got passed from the inside. About a mile in first place wrecked and I got by. I continued to push myself the rest the race. At the end of my second loop I had already overlapped second place. I worked my way up into 15th overall from the second wave.

The next race in the USRA series was once again located in the Jerico area. The race was called Cherry Creek. The start was long and wide open. I got a really good jump and was pinned all the way to the banners. We had to weave through some ribbons and I got cut off by a few people there. Not far into the first lap, maybe a few miles. My bike started making a horrific noise. I had thought that the two pipes came unconnected again, but that wasn't the problem. It was losing power and my second thought was its the top end because we just replaced it the night before. I took it slow until I could make it to the pits and talk to my dad. When I got to the pits my dad told me to hold it wide and if it blows it blows. So thats what I did. I ran it for all it was worth and made my way back into first getting a top 20 overall.

On May 2nd the first NHHA and USRA combined race took place in Jerico Utah. There where two sets of banners off the start, and a lot of washes everywhere. When the banner dropped I kicked my bike but it didn't start. I then had to reach down and pull the kick starter out. Once I got off the line I was pinned, I weaved my way through everyone and the dust. At the end of the bomb run I had worked my way to the front of the pack. The whole race was really dusty and had a lot of whoops. I battled back and fourth with a lot of people working my way up. I finished first overall women, 15th overall mini.
I would like to thank my parents, Fast Company, Streamline Braking, EVS, Leatt, DeCal, Type 1 Racing, NITB Racing, and Stout MetalWorks.

Round 4 of the USRA series was in Jerico Utah. The start was basically who ever held the throttle the longest. I came through the second set of banners with only two people in front of me. At the end of the bomb run we hoped onto a trail. It quickly got dusty and I back up a little getting passes by 2 or 3 people. I battled with Jack Anderson for most of the loop until about 4 miles from the finish. We were going a crossed a flat, once you got across the flat you made a slight left hand turn and went up a hill. I was going around the corner when my bike suddenly sounded like the pipe fell off. I looked down to see if it was still there and sure enough it was there perfectly connected. At this moment my bike was bogging, I thought it was because I will still in 6th gear. I tried shifting down and revving it up but it just bogged down and died. After the race was over I was towed back into the pits. I helped my dad tear it down and crank was what caused the problem. We ordered more parts so I will be back and ready to race next weekend.

The last weekend in March I made a trip down to Knolls for the USRA series. Knolls has never been my favorite race, from the beginning I have struggled with it. They started us in the sand winding around some sand dunes then out onto a whoop trail. The banner was held long and the nerves were pilling up. My bike started first kick but I must have dug into the sand a little bit because I didn't start moving instantly. Once I caught traction I was pretty much last off the line. Into the first corner I went, but I went towards the inside not really thinking and was in more deep sand. By then I was certainly last. Once I hit the whoop trail I began looking for places to pass. I worked around a few people and got into my flow. I finished the race with another strong 1st.

On March 21st I raced Round 3 of the NHHA series. It took place outside of Boise Idaho. We woke up really early to get out to the race because sign ups closed at 9. We go there around 8 and went to sign up. Our race wasn't until 12 so we had a few hours of downtime. We went and put our bike on the line and walked it. I took a line in the middle. The start had sagebrush everywhere with random hills or humps. My trail kinda wound around the hills right to the banner. I got a really good jump off the start and got the hole shot. After that I never looked back. I stayed in first the whole time pulling ahead more every lap. When I came in off my second loop my brother and sister were by the finish. They both had their coats off and where swinging them around yelling and jumping. They stopped swinging their coat right as I got there so it never hit me. I got in 4, 14 mile loops. The girl in second only got 3. On the last lap my siblings were once again out in the trail with their coats, except this time my brother was a little too close. He thought he could swing his coat one more time before I got too close but he timed it wrong. His jacket got caught on my handlebar mid swing and I wrecked. It would have been horrible if I was in a battle but there was no one behind me so I thought it was pretty funny.
I had an amazing race! I would like to thank my parents and pit crew. Also my sponsors Fasst company, Streamline braking, Decal, EVS, Leatt, NITB Racing, and Stout Metal Works

On February 28, my family and I made a trip down to St. George to race the Annual Rhino Rally. When 8:30 rolled around they sky was still grey and the sun was yet to come out. When riders meeting was over it had started to sprinkle. I got a good start and was about 3rd or 4th through the banner. I battled followed the second place of Bailee Lucas for some of the lap until I saw a faster line a got around her. We battle the whole lap with her right on my tail until I made a mistake and got by. I stay right with her the whole second lap until the end when I hit a rock and my pipe came of. Not knowing what happened I stopped, after I saw the problem and decided that it was okay to finish the loop on I started going again. After I stopped I lost sight of Bailee but knew she was right there so i kept pushing myself to catch her. About a mile from the end of the loop I could feel my blood sugar dropping and was running low on energy because of it. ( I have type 1 diabetes) I had to stop in the pits and get a juice to bring it back up before I could continue on. After I got out of the pit and my blood sugar was going back up I had more energy, I charged through the last loop working as hard as I could to make up the lost time. In the end my efforts where not enough and I finished right behind her. With all that happened I am proud of my finish, after all its not all about winning its about having fun.
I would like to thank my parents and pit crew for taking me/ getting me through the race, also I would like to thank my sponsors; Fasst company, streamline braking, EVS, Leatt, Decal, Type 1 Racing, NITB Racing, and Stout Metal Works

On February 22, my family and I made another 9 hour trip to Barstow California to race the second round of the NHHA series. This race was unlike the others, everyone would be racing on Sunday. We got to the race pretty early and went and walked the start. For the most part the start was covered in rocks and tall bushes you had to weave around. I chose a trail to the far left that weaved perfectly between the bushes. Not many other racers started by me so I minimal dust. I got a 1 kick Johnston off the start and was the second one through the banner. I followed closely behind the one 65 that was in front of me until the trail opened up into a wash and I passed him. I lead the race the whole first lap until 2nd place caught me towards the end of lap one. We battled the rest of the lap and half of lap two until I got in front of her and started pulling away. I was coming up to a road crossing when my back tire sent me flipping over the bars. I landed in a pile of rocks facing the wrong way. As I picked up my bike I saw 2nd place drive by. Once I finally got going again 1st place was a ways ahead of me, but I didn't give up. I pushed myself as hard as I could go to try and catch her. In the end my efforts weren't enough and I ended up with yet again another second.
My goals for the next race would be to put in more hours this week and work my butt off so I can win next weekend. I would like to thank my parents and pit crew for getting my to and through all the races. Secondly I would like to thank all my sponsors; Fasst/Flex company, Streamline Breaking, EVS, Leatt, decal, Type 1 Racing, NITB racing, and Stout Metal Works

On February 3rd I raced the first USRA race of the 2015 season. Usually the minis (the youth) race first but this time they raced the big bikes first. Our race was delayed about an hour so we ended up starting at 2. The start was in the format of a motocross race so it was a live engine start. When the flag went up I took off but somehow couldn't find my shifter so I was further towards the back of the pack. Once we got off of the motocross track we went into deep sand, there was a sharp left had turn and I slid out and tipped over putting me further back. The rest of the race I moved up through the bikes putting down smooth laps. By the end of the race I had worked my way back up into second.
I would like to thank my parents for letting me race and also my pit crew for getting me through all of the races. Secondly I would like to thank all of my sponsors; Fasst/ Flexx bars, Streamline Breaking, EVS, Leatt, DeCal, Type 1 Racing, NITB racing, and last but not least Stout Metal Works.

On January 24, my family and I drove to Ridge Crest California to race Round one of the NHHA youth series. In the 2014 series I raced a Honda CRF 150R, this year I am moving onto a KTM 105. On the start I picked a line on the far left side, it was a discrete trail from the line straight to the banner. I got a way good start, 1 kick and I was off. At the end of the bomb run I was in second, shortly behind second. As the race progressed on the girl in first pulled away. I chased her for 3 loops but unfortunately wasn't able to catch her. I ended up with a second place win. I think the KTM had more power than my Honda. I believe that after riding it for awhile I will become faster but we will see what the 2015 season brings.
First off I would like to thank my parents for driving me 18 hours in one weekend to race, also my pit crew for getting me through all the races. I would like to thank the rest of my sponsors; Fasst company, Leatt, EVS, Decal, Streamline Braking, and Type 1 Racing.
