Personal History
My name is Phillip, but I go by Phil or Philly as my friends call me. I am the oldest out of 3. My siblings are Lemmy who is my sister and the middle child, she is 5, and then there is my youngest sibling who is Maverick my baby brother, he is 3.. I am entering my Sophomore year of highschool. I also wrestle for my highschool and got my Varsity Letter last season (my freshman year). Besides racing I enjoy anything outdoors really, I love riding my dirt bike, fishing, hunting, camping, and riding my BMX. I have loved anything to do with dirt bikes since I could remember. My parents grew up around dirt bikes and quads and rode when they were younger, and my aunt used to race. I remember going to the track all the time to watch my aunt and my parents friends race. I got my first electric dirt bike when I was 8 and my dad took me out to the woods behind our house to go trail ride quite often. I was 12 when I got my race bike which is a KTM85 SX. My parents took me to a local trainer where I learned the basics of safety when riding and racing. My parents had to put a "pause" on training due to financial situations and work schedules. I didn't start racing until July 2024. My first race was on my mom's birthday, I raced 2 classes which were 85 open and beginner 85. I knew after that first race that I was hooked and there was no looking back. I loved every second from when we pulled into the track, to going up to the gate and lining up, to the second I crossed the finish line. Since then I have raced in a couple of series which were the buckeye series and an outdoor supercross series that a local track put on.
Riding Goals
I ride because it constantly challenges me and gives me a thrill like nothing else. My goals for this season are to continue progressing, shaving down lap times, improving my technique, and competing at a higher level with each race.
Competitive Highlights
I’ve made significant improvements in my lap times and overall performance by focusing on my physical fitness both on and off the track. My dedication to training has not only enhanced my racing but also benefited my wrestling, and vice versa. Wrestling has played a key role in building my endurance, which directly translates to better stamina and control while riding. I’ve put in the work to strengthen my entire body, and I’ve especially noticed major gains in core strength and stamina - both of which have been crucial in pushing my racing to the next level.
