Personal History
My name is Peyton. I am 16 and a Sophomore in High School this year. I race dirt bikes and play basketball. I have been racing since I was 8 years old and it is my #1 passion. On my free time I like to go riding with friends or shoot hoops. I am always trying to be better at what I do. I come from a big family and am one of 6 siblings. We also have a dog named Maverick.
Riding Goals
My goal for 2023 is to win a championship. This is my first full season on a 125 as I moved up from supermini mid-season last year. I have already met my goal of getting an overall this year. My hope is to get better at corning and in the woods so that I can stay steady/consistent. I will continue training and working hard in my free time to build my stamina and achieve my goals.
Competitive Highlights
I moved up to a 125 last year and my first race on it I got the hole shot and placed 10th out of 33 riders. I won a $75 holeshot award. I struggled in the woods with the big bike, but put in the practice I needed and came back to finish 2nd in my next race. I use "tunnel vision" when I take off so I typically get a good start and have gotten a few hole shots in my racing career. I raced my first ever night race last year where we had to put lights on our bikes and helmets and race through the woods for an hour. I placed first. Last year I was consistently running top 5, but I had to miss 4 races during the series due to covid complications. Two years prior I won the peewee senior championship on my KX65. Currently we are nearing the end of the 2023 season and I am leading in points with 9 - 1st place finishes, a 3rd and 2 - 4th place finishes.
