Personal History
I have a missionary background and come from a family of seven. We lived in Bagabag, Philippines. This is where I was born and learned how to ride dirtbikes. I started riding at age four and racing at fourteen. I'm currently seventeen and live in Waxhaw, NC. On the weekends that there is not an Enduro, my Dad, brother, and I race local Hare Scramble series such as NCHSA. My Dad and I have raced most of the Enduros in the SE&TRA Enduro Series for the last two years and have not missed one in the current 2016 - 2017 season. My normal week consists of weight training, mountain biking, road cycling, weekday rides, and racing or riding on the weekends. I strive to stay strong and fit so I can put forth my best effort every time I ride. While I have a busy schedule, I keep a strong focus on my school work. throughout high school, I have maintained an "A" average. Besides racing, during the weekends my family also fits in time to go to church.
Riding Goals
For me, riding is a lifestyle and it really brings together my friends and family. Riding is a great way to have fun with others. This is why my Dad and I have many friends that often ride with us. I love spending time on the bike, railing corner ruts, and taking on the competition. In the past, I have won two championships. I am now seventeen and have been established as an "A" level racer. So far, three races into the Enduro season, I have a first, second, and another first in 200A. I will continue to put forth my best effort while staying healthy and strong. I believe that I'm on the right path to becoming a successful racer. I can't be certain what the future holds for my career but, I'm not apprehensive.
Competitive Highlights
I have been racing since the age of fourteen. Every year, I've had to move up a class. Starting in Mini-B, to now being in various "A" level classes. When I have moved up, I'm always on the lower end of the age spectrum. This makes it so that I'm usually the youngest in the class. Thus, making it harder to win. Although, this has not been a problem. So far, I have won three races. All of them being Enduros. I have also received many second, third, and fourth place awards. The first year that I started racing Enduros was in 2014. I rode in the 200C class and started the year on my Mini. I ended up winning overall C and had to move up to 200B the next year. In July 2016, I was awarded the title of Overall B Champion from the 200B class. This is what brings to where I am today; an "A" class racer competing for the Overall A championship.
