Personal History
Hi, my name is Pedro Kauak. I moved to the United States three years ago with my family to have a better life. During my first two years here, I couldn’t ride much because of school and because we lived in an area with very few tracks. But thanks to my hard work and determination, I convinced my dad to let us move to MTF a dream come true for me.
I’m giving everything I have to succeed in this sport. I’ve had many injuries, but each day I become stronger and more prepared to reach my goals. Outside of riding, I enjoy going to the gym and fishing.
I’m especially grateful to my mom and dad for supporting me in doing what I love.
Riding Goals
I’ve been riding motocross my whole life, thanks to my dad who passed down his passion for the sport to me. This year has been challenging because I injured my shoulder and had to get surgery. Fortunately, I’m just three weeks away from getting back on the bike.
My plan is to race Mini O’s in the 250 B and College Boy classes, and my goal is to finish in the top 10 which would be a great result for my first year in 250 B.
Next year, my main goal is to qualify for Loretta Lynn’s and place in the top 10 in both B and College Boy classes. I also want to race at Spring Nationals and as many other events as I can to keep improving and reaching the next level.
Competitive Highlights
I haven’t had many big results yet because I haven’t been in the U.S. for very long, but one of my biggest accomplishments so far was winning the Schoolboy 1 and Schoolboy 2 classes at the Capitol Motocross Cup in 2023.
More than chasing results, I’ve spent most of my time here focused on training and improving my level, because I knew I still had a lot of work to do before competing in the B class. Now, I feel ready and it’s time to show that all the hard work and dedication was worth it.
