Personal History

I am writing on behalf of my two boys, Tucker (10) and Tripp (9). We are a small town family that loves all things outdoors. Tripp has a love for fishing and hunting and riding of course. Tucker has a big heart and does not love to hunt but he loves to explore instead. When Tucker isn't riding, he is creating "toy" dirt bike tracks in the dirt. He is constantly recreating new tracks. He has a track at home and a track at grandmas. He says if he doesn't become a pro rider, he wants to design the tracks for SX and MX.

Riding Goals

We got the boys their first dirt bike when they were 3 and 4. We had no idea what this sport was all about, but they loved to ride and over time we built a track at our house for them as they continued to get better at riding. They have been riding dirt bikes for many years but this was our first year racing. We thought we would go to a couple races and get a feel for it. We ended up going to as many as we could, bought a camper, and upgraded bikes. Basically, we fell in love with it as a whole family. Both of the boys have improved so much as well. They went from getting last every race to getting top 3! We can’t wait to see what the next season brings. Now that we have a feel for how it all works, they are determined to get top overalls in points!

Competitive Highlights

As I said before, the first races we went to, they were lacking confidence at the tracks and getting last, sometimes being lapped and not even finishing the entire race. It's amazing how hard they will ride at home where they are comfortable in comparison to the tracks they race at. It took time and dedication but they have truly improved so much this year. At our last race of this season, Tripp got 3rd overall! And Tucker would have placed as well. He had a great practice day on Saturday but then he blew up his motor on the first lap of the first race on Sunday. It was definitely a bummer but he stayed positive and is ready for next year!
