Personal History

Hello Everyone! :)

My name is Olyvia Hix. I am a 22 year old female currently residing in Appleton WI. I work for a construction company in Green Bay WI during the week, as well as pushing myself at the gym after hours, and my weekends are spent at the track practicing and training, or at races, putting in some motos! I live with my boyfriend, Jesse Frassetto, who is 27, and is currently chasing his pro points, to get to some national races in 2017. This past year we have hit up about 5 ProAms. ( some I did not race, as it was important for me to be his support for these races)

This has been my first year racing, and I have been on a big bike for about 3 years. I grew up watching my dad race and compete, which is what got me into motocross. I started on a kx125, and moved up to my 2006 RM250 2 stroke that I raced this year. I have been riding many different bikes throughout the year, trying to get the feel of what I wanted to get for a new bike. I just recently purchased my 2016 RMZ250 and I have wow'ed many people with the progress that I have made on that bike in a few short weeks of having it.

A normal weekend for me is spent putting in the hours driving down to Illinois or southern Wisconsin and Minnesota as well as Michigan to go to tracks that are new and tracks that put me out of my comfort zone, so that I can learn new things and grow as a rider. I love sand, but am growing to love ruts just as much. With my new bike, it just nails ruts and pulls through them like no other.

Outside of racing, I love to be adventurous and do things outside. Biking, jogging, frolfing, jet skiing, boating, tubing, golfing, riding the grom around, and hanging out with the moto family. Basically, I am a social butterfly that loves to hang out with friends, doing wild fun things! :)

Riding Goals

My goal for the rest of 2016 and for the 2017 season is as follows:

Finish this riding season strong with my new bike and get comfortable on it. Practice and train with my A class and Pro fellow riders and get my fundamentals down to a T. Those always come first in my book. I want to be the best that I can be in 2017, which means training all winter, in the gym, and then going down to Florida and Georgia at least once this winter, if not more, for a good week of riding and keeping my feel on the bike. I pride myself on being very physically fit and strong.

In 2017, my goal is to go to as many races as possible, and more down south, so that I can ride with women that are better that I am, so that I can get better. My theory is if your not riding with people better than you, you will not grow and get better as a rider. Training on the track and off the track is very important to me. I plan to go to as many ProAm races as I can in 2017 and place top 5 at ALL MY RACES throughout the year. I want to become the best rider that I can be, and I know if I put my mind to it, I can do anything I want. I am going to push myself to my limits and ride to my fullest potential. I know that with the right support, backing me on my journey, I will prove myself to not only me, but everyone around me of what I am capable of. Riding is my passion and I would not want to do anything else with my life.

Competitive Highlights

*Illinois State Championship - Sunset Ridge MX. September 10th and 11th: I raced my 2006 RM250 2 stroke in women's class and went 2-1 for a 1st overall. I impressed myself and others on my performance, from pulling the holeshot in my second moto, and pushing myself and holding onto that position for 4 strong laps. (You can see the photo of me with my 2 trophies for that weekend in my photos)

*Aztalan MX - October 9th: My first race this year on my new 2016 RMZ250 was a surprise for many. I ended up getting 5th overall, which was behind the top 3 girls in our region that made it to Loretta's this year. I was about 7th in the holeshot, and made some passes up to 4th. Mind you, this track is known for its ruts, and I pushed myself to rail the ruts and pull through corners as best as I could. Corners are where you win races.

To place that well on my first race with my new bike, gives me that push and motivation to make the 2017 race season the best that I can. I know what I am capable of on my new bike, and I intend to be the best I can be and win races next year.
