Personal History
I just turned 40 years old and am a captain on a career fire department. I also just had a baby with my wife which is of course the biggest blessing I could ever have! While my wife was pregnant most of the summer of 2017 and due in August, I knew Loretta's was out of the question for me. But, now that my baby is here and everyone is healthy it's time to put the effort on to making it back to Loretta,'s in 2018! All summer my wife has been motivating me for 2018. She knows how important a return trip there is to me and supports me fully.
Riding Goals
My goals for 2018 are definitely the 30+ and 40+ for Loretta's. Not only to qualify but to get a top 10. I know especially in the 40+ it will be difficult. That class is essentially a former pro class which I have never been. But I know I will make it and do well with the dedication and extra motivation of a beautiful wife and baby supporting me.
Competitive Highlights
I have won several local points series over the years. But my biggest racing accomplishments are making it to Loretta's in 2008. The last few years I have tried and made the alternate list in 2009, 2012, and 2015. Those years were the hardest. Being there and riding but not able to race is something I still hate and won't allow to happen again. I will be prepared 100% in 2018.
