Personal History
Hi, my name is Nolan, I am a 12-year-old professional enduro rider in training. I began my career when I was five years old. Since then I have competed in Motocross, Sprint Enduros, Hare Scrambles, and Family Enduros. In 2022 I finished in 3rd place overall in the Family Enduro series and after that season I committed myself and my family that I would win my class in 2023. I am very proud to say that in 2023, I am the CHAMPION of my class!! It was a very competitive class, with so many ups and downs, I was able to conquer my goals with the support of my family alongside me. I learned throughout the season that it’s not all about how you ride but also about preparing for each and every race. My mom is always one step ahead of the team by preparing, planning, and packing for our races. She is and has always been my biggest fan, running through the woods and capturing those perfect action pictures that say it all. My sister, who decided to learn to ride a dirt bike this year is my training partner. Her name is Natalie and she inspires me to keep reaching for my dreams and continue to get better every day. Natalie placed 2nd overall in her class this year, which is really impressive for her first year! Last but not least, my dad. He works two full-time jobs and somehow still finds time to make sure my bike is race-ready. He even rebuilt the engine in my dirt bike in the middle of the season! I have learned a lot from my dad about hard work and achieving goals. He made a goal to win his class in the 2023 D14 Enduro and he did!!
I think my family is awesome and my life is so great! I know I will be successful in the future no matter what I do. I believe when you’re committed and have goals success is bound to follow. Taking time to chat it up with the little kids at each race and encourage them to hone their skills and be a leader will undoubtedly grow this sport that I love.
I love to ride, hang out with my family, and friends, and wrestle. Last wrestling season I broke my arm during a tournament. This year is my comeback season and I am focused on winning a state championship for my weight class.
Riding Goals
The reason I ride dirt bikes is simple dirt bikes are awesome!! In my family, we call it throttle therapy. We all look forward to that next ride as soon as we park the bike for the night. When I ride I can imagine myself being a AA Expert rider, jumping logs, crossing creeks, and taking the checkered flag. Next year my goal is to win the Family Enduro E: 12-13 class which won’t be easy since I will be moving up an age group and also my class in Hare Scrambles. I know it won’t be easy but even in December I’m already preparing for the 2024 season. Champions are made in the offseason and I will be a Champion again in 2024.
Competitive Highlights
I have been riding competitively for two years. In 2022 I was able to take home 3rd place in the Family Enduro D: 9-11 class. In 2023 I reached my goal and I got 1st place in the Family Enduro D: 9-11 class, which consisted of 10 races. I picked up doing Hare Scrambles towards the end of the season and put up three top 5 finishes! My dirt bike journey has been very significant in learning which bike works best for me. I have learned how to work on my dirt bike and make sure it is race-ready. Some of the things I have learned consist of suspension work, tuning a carb, cleaning and oiling the air filter, changing oil, changing tires, applying new graphics and even installing the best bark busters. Dirt biking has given me life skills that I can take with me and teach others. My biggest achievements have been building relationships and growing my race family with families all over the country.
