Personal History
I learned to ride and began racing July 2009, racing only six races during the 2009 season. For the 2010 season, I met and exceeded all of my goals, which were to get faster and more consistent, be competitive, learn the sport, and to compete in 20 races. This helped me understand what type of conditioning, form, training and workouts to do to stay fit. During the 2011 season, I raced the Nuclear Series Races at Byron Motosports Park; the Loretta Lynn Area Qualifiers, and Ponca Qualifiers placing in the Top 10 in all. In 2011 my season was cut short because of an injury which I have fully recovered from. In 2012 I improved my techniques and my conditioning. I attended a one-week training camp at the Millsap’s Training Facility in March 2011 and March 2012 which really helped hone my skills and I now apply daily during practice. In the 2013 season, I stuck to honing my skills and preparing to race while transitioning to the B class.
Riding Goals
This year, I have increased my fitness level considerably; I run 3-5 miles a day and do high repetitions weight training to improve my muscular strength endurance three times a week. During the 2014 season I will race competitively at Motocross events throughout the South West and practice at least three times a week. I believe I can place in the top three at every race next year and qualify for Loretta Lynn’s in 250B Stock and Mod classes.
