Personal History
It's hard to describe about myself on a website. You really need to be around me to find out what kind of guy I am. I'm a very humorous kind of guy as well as a guy everyone likes to have around. I'm a very competitive kind of guy yet I don't hold grudges or take things to heart very often. I have also served in the U.S. Marine Corps for 8 years and that's been the proudest time of my life. Serving my country overseas, feeling all the accomplishments I earned during that time and coming out with a new sense of pride. I started racing at an older age then most but I think that just gives me another reason to prove to myself that I can do this.
Riding Goals
My goals are 10 times higher then last year. 2011 was my first year racing under AMA santions. I did a few hare scrambles and didn't fare to well due to my bike wasn't set for woods racing so I stuck mainly to stadium SX locally. 2012 is going to be a better season for me. I've recently purchased a newer & bigger bike, better suited to my body size. My goal like everyone elses, is to podium. But realistically, I'm looking for consistant top 10's and top 5's. I know I have to pay my dues and work to earn my spot at the top to advance on to higher classes. With the right training, support and gear, I know I can accomplish it.
2013 riding goals are even higher then last year. I got my first ever win and I'm going into 2013 with the mindset that I can repeat it. My main goal is to run top 5's at each race which towards the end of the year, minus my mistakes, I was able to run up in the front of the pack. I still need to work on holeshot's and corner's but I'm getting better each week.
2014 goals are going to be even higher. With each race, I'm getting better and better and I'm being told often that from a spectators standpoint, they can see my improvements in speed and form. 3rd place finish overall was great but I know that I was close to a 1st place finish, only a few bad races held me back. Continuous improvements will get me there!
Competitive Highlights
Mendota Megacross Series 2012 Open C - 7th overall
Joliet Arsenal Series 2012 Open C - 3rd overall, +30 B/C 5th overall
District 17 Open C took 5th overall
Won my first race November 4th 2012 by going 1-1 in an MX race. Was extatic about that one. Took over 35 races and was the very last race of the season. So to me it was a really big deal to me. I get to carry that momentum into this year (2013)
2013 Highlights: Took 3rd overall in the +30 B/C class for District 17 Stadium MX series. Won 2 races, earned numerous podium finishes and ran a lot better in the 2nd half of the season.
Joliet Arsenal Series 2nd place finish overall
