Personal History
The Start
A little bit about myself, I grew up in Sioux Falls, SD. Spent most of my summer days on Lake Madison. I've always loved where i live because i am a avid snowboader, wakeboarder, as motocross as my main hobby. Motocross has been huge part of my life from the age of 12. I was introduced to the sport when a life long friend of mine brought me out to a local motocross race. From that moment we pulled in the front gate i knew this was where I belong! For the next couple months my brother and I bagged our parents for A bike. 1996 Christmas was where it all started. That year was a rough year, so we had hopes but we knew our parents couldn't afford it. As we opened our last gifts Christmas morning our hearts felt broken. Being a kid and wanting something sooo bad then realizing its just not feasible. It was hard to hold back our emotion. We said our thanks for the gifts that we had received and headed off to our rooms. I happen to glance out the front window as my Dads best friend was pulling in to our driveway! There they were! Our first Kx80's! Not only did our parents give us a life long hobby, racing kept us all so close.
I grew up ridding/racing at Sioux Vally Cycle Club which i call my home track. I currently am a board member with Sioux Valley Cycle Club and in charge of the motocross side. I build and maintain out motocross facility. My family and i spend most of our weekends out at races, its like our second home. My 10 year old Tayvin is out there ridding with me! My daughter londynn is my little sunshine, I also have a great step daughter named Aubrey. We just added a new addition to the family baby Deegan. Another future ridder. Motocross will be a part of my family for years to come.
Riding Goals
Riding goals for the next year
I would like to make the trek to Loretta's in the Vet +30. That is my overall goal. I feel its a goal i can acheive as long as i stay heathy. To get to that point i put together a workout regiment that started the 1st of November. I'm working into it slowly so i dont burn out. Iv been hitting the gym 3 times a week. After the first of the year I'm going to hit it hard.
I also plan on putting together more riding schools for some of our amateur riders in our area.. Last year we did a total track change so that took most of my free time, so this year i wanna be able to give back to the riders. I love teaching/coaching riders and seeing them on the weekend excel faster then what they could have done on there own. The smile they have when they come off the track is what makes it all worth it.
