Personal History
My name is Nick and I am a 20 year old student at the University of Cincinnati. I just got into Motocross this last summer (2013). Unfortunately for me my family could not afford for me to race when I was younger even though I absolutely loved the sport. One of my best friends let me learn on his brand new YZF-250R and even though it put me in the dirt the first ride I was hooked. I got right back on and tried again (more successful the second time). So I worked 46 hours a week this past summer while paying my rent and other school fees, and saved up to buy my first bike, a 2000 RM-125, and set of gear. I still work part time while going to school and hope to put a down payment on a used truck that way I can drive myself to and from local races. I do not have any support from my family in this sport. I am already asking a lot of them to help me with school. I love to ride and I hope to start racing soon. I appreciate any support I can receive from sponsors, and I hope to represent them with high place finishes in every race.
Riding Goals
To practice all summer at Earlywine MX, an indoor supercross style track. Enter a couple of their summer series races. Hopefully by this time next year I will be competing in the Arena Cross East Coast. Depending on my skill level I will enter the D or C class.
I do want to increase my riding class each year, as well as increase my level of support.
Other goals are to make films of my riding at different tracks using my GoPro and Cannon cameras to promote myself as well as any gear or equipment of my sponsors.
Competitive Highlights
I have no race experience yet, but I am a born competitor. I played Football, wrestled, and ran track in high school. I have also competed in bmx races, as well as Skateboard and Snowboard competitions. Arena Cross championship is one of my top goals and I believe that I have the competitive drive to succeed, all I need now is practice and support.
