Personal History

I got my first dirtbike on my 6th birthday. It was an electric dirt bike from Walmart with about 2 inches of suspension travel and it went around 20 mph. I would ride it around all day everyday and wouldn't stop until it died. Then on my 10th birthday I came home to a CRF70F. I was very happy and grateful and thanked my dad. He gave me some gear and this is when the real riding started. My dad found a place in the woods to ride, we met the owner and he said we could ride there all we wanted. We started going there on the weekends and I got better and better on my bike. A couple years later I got a seized up RM65. This was the first bike we rebuilt. In this process I learned a lot about an engine, how things work, how to put them together and how hard work pays off. I was so excited to ride the bike but I couldn't because we had to rebuild it. On the last night we got the engine mounted and had all of the new parts on it. We started it and it ran pretty bad. Here I learned about the air fuel mixture and how to adjust it and the idle to make the bike run perfectly. The next day we started up the bike and did the break in. After that he started to crank it out. The bike was running extremely lean and almost threw my dad off the bike. This scared me so I went really slow. After a few rides I started to get used to it and I loved the powerband. We started taking it back to the same trails as before and I rode it harder and faster then any bike in my life. When I was 13 my dad had to leave for a 7 month deployment and we sold my bike. I didn't have anything to ride for around a year. Then one day me and my dad saw a sick CR80 for only $600 we decided to buy it and it ran amazing. We did some tasteful mods to it and that's where I got used to superminis. 6 months later he got me a CRF150RB. This had been my dream bike for YEARS. As soon as I started it it put a smile on my face. This was the first bike I rode at a motocross track. I took this and my cr80 to Charles City Dirt Riders and took the riding class. I learned a lot of techniques and things that I never would have thought of applying to my riding. We did many types of riding styles, trails, motocross, enduro. I had always ridden trails so i excelled at that very quickly. Then our instructor Terry Kennedy took us out to the motocross track. You couldn't tell but I was pretty scared. When we got on it I had a blast when I got my first glimpse of what it felt like to catch some air. Within 10 minutes I was clearing all of the jumps there and fell in love with motocross. Since then I have gotten A LOT faster and I practice every weekend. Due to a lack of tracks in my area I don't get a lot of chances to ride but I try to as much as I can. I am planning to race the open class harescrambles next year on my CRF150R. I am hoping to do well but most of all have a great time riding with people who love doing the same thing as me. I may participate in motocross racing at South Fork MX as well.

Riding Goals

M goals are to get faster on my bike every time I ride and to compete in races of all kinds. I want to win races in harescrambles, and motocross as well as have a lot of fun doing so.
