Personal History
Hello My name is Nick Hesse I live in a small village called Beugen I originally come from Boxmeer where I started motorcrossing because my father who used to be a good motocross rider at the M.O.N (Motorsport Organisatie Nederland) and was regularly at the front he is also and he was already at the Motorcross club "SMW Boxmeer" as treasurer since 1987 but he stopped riding motorcross competitions in 2003 and then could still be found every week on the motocross track and still a volunteer at 'SMW Boxmeer'
When I was born in 2007 I was a 2 week old baby on the motocross track and it actually started from there 2011 I got my first motorcycle on my birthday a Yamaha PW50 and I could be found every week on the motocross track of SMW Boxmeer
Then I went to a KTM 50cc mini and raced a lot with that then a brand new 2014 KTM 50cc arrived there for another half year rode it for up to a year and then a 65cc KTM with small wheels, I rode it for about 1.5 years and then my father put in a very expensive extended swingarm so that large wheels could be fitted, I rode it until the end of 2017 because I wasn't really growing with my heigh.
So at the beginning of 2018 my father bought me a 2016 85cc with small wheels, had a lot of fun with it and rode it for 1.5 years until about the end of 2019, then out of nowhere my father bought me a brand new KTM 85cc 2020 model with large wheels, but I was able to ride it 5 times because then Corona came and then I couldn't really ride anymore until about 2021, after that I couldn't ride much anymore until the beginning of 2022 due to the corona virus and then I was able to take up motocross again in mid-2022, but I could really notice that my condition had deteriorated a lot as a result.
End of 2022 my father bought the very latest model YZ85LW 2022 everything was renewed. but mid 2023 we found out that a YZ125 was the choice and we also bought a YZ125 2022 the latest model and that was also completely modified new block really everything new except the frame.
BUT THEN I went to train for a competition in Cuijk, The Netherlands which was held there a week later. I was in my 3rd training session of the day and I jumped on a table and passed someone on the left side while the previous times I always took the right side so I jumped past the person and went to the corner on the left side and saw a few big braking bumps over my head and my dirt bike went straight out of my hands and I tried with all the strength I had to grab it but it was too late and I flew off my bike with a front flip and with my back I landed straight in a big braking bump which caused me to stay in the hospital for a night and then had to recover at home for 5.5 months because there was a large fluid lump in my lower back because where the skin is attached had torn off and fluid had gotten underneath but that just wouldn't go away on its own. which is why I still have almost no feeling in my lower back to this day (08-08-2024).
Well 5.5 months went by but then we had the worst year in terms of rainfall it has never rained so much in the last 15 years as from October 2023 to June 2024 which meant that few to no tracks were open so I haven't been able to ride that much this year unfortunately but I am now training hard again and want to ride a few local competitions this year to try again and see where I am and then go for it completely in 2025!
Riding Goals
My goals for this year and next year are because I had a really bad injury last year. and at the end of 2023 to June 2024 a lot of rain fell in the Netherlands so I couldn't train much I would like to pick up competitions again and see where I am. and then in 2025 I want to go for it completely in the M.O.N Competitions! but I will need help for that thanks to sponsors
