Personal History
My Name is Nathan von Miller and I live in the Northeast corner of Nevada in a city called Elko. I have always had an interest in dirt bikes so, when I was 4 years old my parents put me on a Honda CRF50 and I loved to ride it around our 10 acre property. After a few weeks of doing that I was bored and wanted something more so my dad took me to a few local tracks. The first day at the Wells track I jumped the track so hard I busted my training wheels luckily we had an extra set. The next week my dad took me to the track again and I broke the other set of training wheels and that was it.....the training wheels were gone and so was I. I turned 5 years old in January and that same month my parents signed me up for my first race at the Horse Palace in Spring Creek, NV. I did really well and was hooked from that day on. I have been racing the Ruby Mountain MX spring series and have really enjoyed racing and making lots of new friends at the track. As I got a few races under my belt and was running really well against kids 2 years older than me, my parents decided it would be best to get me a faster bike. In March of this year my parents bought me my first Cobra 50. I rode this bike in the Ruby Mountain Spring Series and took 3rd place overall. I was so stoked I got a trophy bigger than me. I now have a brand new 2010 Cobra 50 and a new 2008 Cobra 50 Mod. My parents, 2 brothers and I have been traveling all summer to Idaho, Utah, Vegas, and Reno for me to ride and compete in races. We have such a great time being all together and hanging out at the track.
Riding Goals
I hope to practice really hard and take first place in the 4-6 class in a spring series. We have not decided what series we are going to do yet but hope to compete in one with a full gate of 4-6 50cc riders.
I also plan on training hard and becoming a better and faster rider with as much support as I can get so I will be able to compete in the world mini's this year as well as qualify for Loretta Lynns and Ponca.
Competitive Highlights
In my first year of racing I placed third overall in the spring Ruby Mountain MX Series.
I got my first 1st Place victory in Round 2 of the NMXD triple crown summer MX series in Fallon, NV.
I have consistantly been placing between 2nd-5th in the Wild West, RMX, Mustang and Thunder Mountain summer races, against kids that are 1-2 years older than myself.
