Personal History
my names Nate Mendoza, I’m 24 years old, I have 3 siblings, one who races now too. Ive been around dirtbikes and racing since the day I was born, I got my first dirtbike at 4 years old and raced until I was 7. I stopped racing because I became good at other sports and my dad wanted me to focus on those. In high school I was a successful multi sport athlete, I was a state champ and multi time state placer in wrestling, 2x academic state champ, and state placer in cross country and track. I went on to college to wrestle for a year but injured my mcl and decided to come home, I then bought I dirtbike to start racing in 2021 and have been racing ever since. I also spend a lot of time outdoors to fish and hunt, and during the winter I’m a high school and youth wrestling coach.
Riding Goals
My goals for racing this year is to travel more and compete at a higher level.. I currently race C class but want to move up to B class by the end of the year if I continue to place high in big races. My overall goal in racing is to someday write my story and prove to people that you can start late, not have all the money in the world, and still qualify for a pro national. I know I’m doubted a lot and that’s what feeds me, I’ve always been a competitive person and will work hard to achieve my goals. I’ve been reaching out and apply for sponsorships to help with saving money to allow me to have more money to travel and race.
Competitive Highlights
I know everyone looks at results for accomplishments but my biggest accomplishment is being competitive in every race I go too with very little experience or help. I’m very new to this sport and racing but I have gotten a lot of attention and acknowledgment from coaches or other racers and parents about my fast improvement and my riding skills for being new and starting really late with this sport. I’ve overcome many injuries, one being life threatening, but have yet to give up on my goals.
