Personal History
My names Myles, I'm 18 years old and I live in Claremore, Ok. I like to race motocross obviously. I like to hunt when I can and I sometimes fish if I have the opportunity. Ive been riding since I was 13 because my parents never had the money to get me a bike when I was younger, I begged and begged since I was 6 years old, but when I finally did, I was hooked for life. Motocross is everything to me. Even when I'm driving and a cool song comes on the radio I try to make my own riding video in my head of me riding with that song in it. Where the song would start once the gate drops or would the video start with a slow motion whip? That might be weird but I'm sure other motocrossers do it too! I spend my free time at home on Youtube watching motocross videos. Austin Stroupe has some good ones. I love his style! The justin barcia ones are good too! I don't ride like him so I wont be blowing up my bike every other weekend. haha. Umm, I'm single. Which is pretty cool. Riding keeps my mind off stuff like that....I'm tellin ya, I'm addicted to Motocross! I even plan to go to college to try and work in the motocross industry! I just wanna work for a motocross magazine like Transworld or RacerX, and travel to the Supercross and Nationals all year long. Something that involves me in the Industry!
But my goals are just to be a local pro and do the state races here in Oklahoma and make a little money off it. For example, the arenacross's have a pro purse and I would just try and win that. Its all for fun. I started too late in racing to ever be in the pros. But on my way to be a local pro I need some sponsors! I always see kids at the track with all this cool stuff on their bikes and grafix from certain companies. I always think to myself...I wanna have my bike look cool, with exhaust, grafixs, different color bars, etc..Some kids I talk to get their stuff FREE! How do I get free stuff for racing? Half off would be badass! So I came to this site for good sponsorship deals. I think I'm fast enough for that.
Riding Goals
Well I broke my wrist in June 09 and after 5 months of healing up I finally got to ride. I ended up riding twice in 2 weeks and my bike messed up. I don't have a job at the moment so i don't have money to fix it. I know a guy that will fix it for cheap so as soon as i fix it, I plan on getting back into racing. I havent raced in a year now. But this year (when bike gets fixed) I plan on finishing out this year in Novice and always be in the top 5 or winning races. For 2011 I plan to move to intermediate and just progress from there.
Competitive Highlights
Well I haven't raced in about a year. I race locally so the races aren't always packed out. But from what I remember the gate always had atleast 10 to 20 riders. I was always inside the top 5 if there were 10 riders and if there were 20 I was inside the top 10. But I have won 2 races, and bunch of top 3 finishes. I have races about 3 Oklahoma state races and I didn't do so well. But the reason for lack of races is MONEY. My parents are divorced and money is tight, I have to get a job and pay for everything for my racing. I would love to be sponsored so I can having a helping hand with deals on parts and race fees so I can improve my riding and results.
