Personal History
Hi, my name is Myah Hjorteland. I am 13 years old and I live in Estevan, Saskatchewan, Canada. Motocross plays a huge part in my life. I started riding, as well as racing when I as 11 years old, and I quickly fell in love with the sport because I knew I had finally found something I truly love, something I'd die for!
Riding Goals
I race motocross because it's where I belong, it's so much fun! I enjoy every second of it, even if I don't win. Racing makes me feel alive. It reassures me that I am living my life right, with no fears nor limits. In the next season, I want to accomplish leaving my biggest competition, Samantha Merrett, in the dust! I also want to stay ahead of the boys, to prove to everyone that girls can be fast too!
Competitive Highlights
In the season of 2013- I achieved 4th place in Women's class at Western Canadian Amateur Nationals in Raymond,Alberta, 4th in Women's class in the SCRC circuit, 3rd in 85cc at Start2Finish Arenacross in Bownan,ND. & 10th (out of 25 boys) in 85cc in the CMRC circuit.
In every single SCRC & CMRC races, the 2 classes I competed in were always back to back; therefore pushing me to my limit of riding hard for a minimum of 30 minutes. I believe this has strengthened me as a rider.
