Personal History
I love motorcycle racing of any type. I'm an avid follower of Supercross, Motocross, Flat Track, Superbike, and MotoGP. I just love motorcycle racing and I've been lucky to be around many races for most of my life. I've been racing since I was 5 and i've done it all at a high level if not pro level including stints as a pro in Flat Track, where I carried National #51 for 10 years, Ice Racing, and Supermoto. I just love motorcycle racing. I'm a rep for a small regional midwest distributor and I sell Spectro Oils through the state of Michigan. I'm also a Rider Rep in Michigan's District 14 Motocross Series where I help Kreg Bigelow with anything that I can.
Riding Goals
I started off with a goal of qualifying for Loretta Lynn's but the 30+ class is pretty dang competitive and I haven't yet been able to accomplish that, but it's fueled my love for the sport more. I love traveling to new tracks and racing with new people. My aim is to always be competitive but I've had so much fun experience new tracks, new races, new people, and creating memories at the race track.
Competitive Highlights
I've been racing since I was 5 years old, I started off racing motocross, then Ice Racing, and then finally Flat Track. I switched to Flat Track in 1994 and immediately won a title at the AMA Amateur Nationals being held in Lake Odessa, Michigan in the 65 Stock class on the TT. I proceeded to win 16 Amateur National Titles in Flat Track before turning Pro in 2001. I then won the Formula USA Rookie of the Year award and finished the championship in 3rd. I then Held national number 51 in AMA Pro Flattrack Racing from 2006 until 2016. After losing my buddy Jethro Halbert to a racing accident in 2015, I felt like a cat that had used up 8 of his 9 lives, I raced a limited schedule and officially retired from Flat Track in September of 2016. I bought an old 2 stroke YZ 250 and started racing with my childhood friends and we now race Vet classes in Motocross and have a blast. I can't not race and I've been having too much fun to quit. In 2016 I finished the year 5th for the year and 4th in Michigan's D14 Fall Series.
