Personal History

My name is Mitchell Heney from South Shore Massachusetts. I’ve been on two wheels since I was 3 years old, and began competing at 11. I started my journey competing in the supermini class, and continued to compete into the 125/250 class before numerous injuries forced me to take a break from the sport. Since my injuries, I’ve focused on the mental side of the sport and becoming a safer, more efficient rider. I’m now making a return to the sport, but just like the relationship advice I’ve been given that I never listened to, I will ease back in and take it slowly. My focus is heavily on the motor sports community and trying to maintain a healthy and positive environment and be a good ambassador of the sport. I ride a 2024 CRF250R and a 2024 CRF110F semi-competitively, meaning mostly local events.

Riding Goals

My primary goal for the remainder of this season is to build back my confidence and focus on being a safer rider both for myself and the other racers on the track.

To kick off next season I hope to put my bike on the podium consistently, this is something I feel I have a good chance at doing within the class of my interest. I would like to form real, strong relationships with my sponsors, and share a common goal, as well as work together to be positive ambassadors for the sport.
