Today I rode the new TC450 Husqvarna at the MDMS Circuit here in Sydney! Overall very impressed with the motorcycle! The TC450 kicked first time everytime, I felt right at home on the first lap. I could throw the bike around quite well on a muddy circuit! The bottom end feel and power was incredible, compared to the CRF450R EFI motorcycle of mine It was not as savage on the gas coming out of corners its power delivery was so smooth and just a breeze to ride, the standard suspension felt really comfortable, I did however stiffen up the spring after 3 laps as it was a little soft. Mid to top range power was awesome it is right on the money compared to the Japanese bikes! Under brakes it was fantastic really really strong and then coming out of corners it was like a bat out of hell very fast. Overall very impressed and without question is a contenter against the Japanese bikes. Looking forward to the new TC450 2011 with the BMW 450x engine.

Today here in Australia I was able to test ride the new 2011 KTM350F demo bike through a local motorcycle dealer Camden Bike And Power. Overall very impressed with the motorcycle, has plenty of power between mid-range and top and also has good bottom end for a standard bike. I stiffened the rear suspension as It was a bit soft. The erogomics of the bike felt great the feel was right on, the front end through corners I could just tip it in power through with not to much problem! I felt right at home after a few laps. Compared to the CRF450 the KTM350F is smooth in power delivery and doesnt want to rip your arms out coming out of corners, it still did however shoot out of the ruts and corners like a bat out of hell, even though of course it is less powerful then a standard 450. Overall after about 20min moto I felt really good on the bike, wasnt cramping up to much, the bike was incredibly smooth and it is most defiently a contender against the 450s as we have already seen from the professional riders riding them now in Europe, USA and here.

I have secured a testing weekend next weekend here at the MDMC Test track on the new 2010 Husqvarna TC450 through Picton Motorcycles, looking very much forward to riding the Husqvarna and working with the Picton team for the weekend! Also looking forward to the new 2011 husqvarna/BMW 450 coming in November! It will be a very interesting weekend as I have not rode a European bike since I was racing a KTM 60 back in 1999 also its carburetted! Would like to thank Picton Motorcycles, Husqvarna and Steve Caines for the oppurtunity! Will have some images up and a bio on what I thought about it! Keep you posted!
