Personal History
G'day my name is Miles Maxwell Honeysett I am 21 years of age and currently reside in Sydney Australia! At the moment I race in the A-grade motocross series here in Australia in the Pro-open 450cc class. I am also completing a University degree from home in science as I believe an education is important for life and life after racing! I live in a country down about an hours drive outside of Sydney. We have fantastic motocross tracks and facilites here which has really help develop us Australian riders and myself as a whole! When I am not racing or out practicing I am training! I have my own gym set up at home and trainier which is all self payed for! I am on a specific training regime which includes weights, cycling, boxing, skipping, running and anything else from gymnastics to ballet exercises for core strength training! I am 100% commited to my motorcycle racing here in Australia and want to achieve my goals by getting back over the United states to race and forge a career! I have raced in the US in the past on the east coast as my father was working over there back between 2001 and 2003! I have the 100% support of my family and friends wich put 100% effort into my motorcycle racing, its a team effort and family effort hich I am very fortunate to have! When I am not racing or training I am chillin with my friend and family, fishing, playing golf, riding, xbox 360 ;) and just relaxing!
Riding Goals
Coming into 2011 I want to be the fittest I can be on the line, I want to know I have trained hard on and off the bike and that I am as ready as I will ever be for 2011...and so far I am achieving those goals! Coming into my first season on the prosfessional circuit here in Australia the goals I want to achieve are quiet simple ones, one is to complete the season in the top ten with top ten finishes, two is to ride to the best of my ability ever week and to make a name for myself against the professional riders of Australia. 3 is to promote myself/sponsors and stamp my authroirty as a true person, rider and for people to know I have the skill, motivation and professionalism to become a professional motorcycle racer! 4 is enter the World MX1 Championships as a wildcard here at the Australian Round!
Competitive Highlights
I have been racing motocross/supercross since I was 8 years old and have won championships and various other racers here in Australia. I have won my local Wollongong/Appin club A-grade championships in consective years, I have also won varoius State Ttles in the Victoran championhip rounds, New South Wales rounds, placed 3rd in the Australian Junior Championships. Coming into 2010 I have had great results on the new 2010 CRF450R winning the A-grade championships rounds of Wollongong, Appin, Nowra, Melton championship rounds which is a career highlight for me so far, next year in 2011 is the big step for me in racing the Pro-open professional circuit next year! Highlights in my career so far have been racing in the USA. Racing in Las Vegas in 2002 was incredible, racing in Danville was a great experience with also meeting David and Gary Bailey. Racing in the PAMX state nationals was incredible with some good finish placings with a 5th in one race. The best of my competitve highlights is yet to come, looking forward to the challenge of professional motocross racing in 2011!
