Personal History
My Name is Mike Maupin, I race motocross in district 11. I am 17 and have been racing since i was 5. However i have taken two years off in that time. I am a very experinced rider and knows what it takes to excell in this sport. I am riding a 2003 kx125 right now but am planing on getting a 07 or newer 450f. I race 125b and 16-24 but am moving to 250b and shortly after open A. I grew up aroung motocross and have had it in my bloodsince i was born. I keep my equipment very presentable and well maintained and take pride in my apperance and showmenship.
Riding Goals
I plan on getting a new 450 for the start of the 09 outdoor season. With the purchase of the new bike i will b moving class to 250b for a few races to gain comefortability on the new bike, then shortly after move to open A. I will continue to race 16-24. I plan on going to lorreta lynn qualifiers and regionals. I Will race in lorreta lynns, nationals, mini o's, and other big name, major events. in addition to these i will compet locally as to not forget my roots and where i came from. I love the tracks in my area and plan on racing at many of them. I will compete in the buckey series this year aswell.
Competitive Highlights
In 2004 i was named track champ for 85sr and 65sr and placed top three in the buckey championship. I have won numerous races in my local area and out of district. I have placed top 5 at two seperate lorreta lynn qualifiers in 2006. Currently This winter i am running in first for a indoor series for 125 b and 3rd for 16-24. I was on the cover of the district 11 paper in 2004 aswell.
