Personal History
Began riding at age 9 on a Honda CT 70 which was my brothers.
Got my first bike in 1975. A Suzuki TM 100 and began racing shortly thereafter.
I continued racing for about 5 years. I began a family and stopped racing, but continued to ride. In
2005 I bought a YZ250 and began racing in the Senior 450 class. I'm usually the only 2 stroke racer
in my class. It's awesome to pull a holeshot against 450's but it doesn't happen very often.
I usally hit the first corner in the top 5.
Recently bought a 2011 KTM 450 EXC and plan to race enduros and some GPs on it.
I plan to build a track on my property and purchase bikes for my grandkids to ride when there old
enough. My grown daughters ride ocassionally ride and I have a 450 kodiak for my wife which I use
on the property and to hunt with.
Riding Goals
To get healthy and to spend as much time on my bikes as possible.
I want to get friends and family together for as much riding /racing as time & money permits.
To as ride many charitable events as possible, and Poker Runs.
Planning on purchasing a 50cc bike for my oldest granson this summer.
Guess I need to get a tractor in my back yard and build a little track for the boys to play on.
Competitive Highlights
When I resumed racing in 2006 at Edwards MX, I holeshot my first moto and was leading the race only to get tired, case a step up and crash my brains out. I bent my bars and subframe so bad I could not race the second moto. I have continued racing locally and trophy about 75% of the time.
Recently while practicing at CCMX park, I again crashed my brains out in 4th gear pinned and nearly
broke a femur. Ended up with a severly torn quad that I'm am re-abilitaing through riding and
exercises. Look forward to seeing the gate drop soon. YEE HA
