Personal History
My name is Mike, nickname "Cookie". I've been on a motorcycle since 3 years old. Starting racing flat track at 5. Since I was 6' at 12 years old, flat track did not work out. From there, moved on to motorcycle trials where height actually helps. After 3 years in the sport I had already been moved to expert and was winning local events. Was then sponsored by the Tryals Shop and Scorpa USA to ride NATC trials nationals. There I rode for 4 years in Highschool, Expert Support, and Expert Class. I finished with several wins and podium finishes. I then went to Alfred State College for Mechanical Engineering and also worked part time at Arkport Cycles, which allowed me to use a bike and occasionally still compete.
Currently I am a engineer at a company that makes parts for jet turbine engines. During college I sold my competition bike, so in 2010 I bought a YZ250 and decided to try Hare Scrambles. I had a great time my first couple races, so began a full WNYOA season in 2011.
Other Interests: Finishing private pilots license, Sailing, Windsurfing, Unicycling, Wakeboarding, Small engine work, Skiing, Playing guitar, socializing, Designing custom parts for my YZ.
