Personal History

In November of 2012, my father took me to an arenacross race in Fayette, Alabama. Not having a clue what arenacross even was, I said sure and we were on our way. Once we arrived and walked through the doors to the arena, I was quickly overwhelmed (mostly by the fumes lurking in the air) by my entire surroundings. We found our seats as soon as the races began and my eyes were glued to the track the whole time. As soon as it ended and we were back in the car, I looked over to my father and said "Dad, I want to do that. I want to race dirtbikes." The next day I was out in the yard attempting to learn how to ride an '03 CR125, that would soon become the one thing I couldn't imagine my life without. At first things were hard and I just wanted to lay down and say "OK this isn't for me." But with hard, dedicated, determined work, I stuck with it and entered my first arenacross race on January 19th, 2013. I was hooked. I entered another one after that and then took a break to prepare for motocross. I raced with the Midsouth Motocross Championship Series and quickly gained a motofamily that could never be replaced. I raced in Women's 14+ with a consistant 2nd place and Open Beginner with a fluctuation of 3rd, 4th, and 5th place. However, about six weeks ago at Hawk Pride Mx, I crashed and broke my clavicle the day before the race. As of now I am three weeks out from getting back on the bike and couldn't be more excited and determined to come back faster and stronger than ever. With hard work and dedication, I know that I will be able to pursue and meet my goals for the 2014 year.
