What a weekend, wheew...
It was a good weekend. Good races, fun races.
Saturday's first moto wasn't so great for me.. I had a major crash and got rocked a little.... I couldnt finish my first moto but did race the second moto and got the holeshot and 2nd place!
Sunday I came back for the win! Got both holeshots and both 1st place wins!! It felt good... I was very proud of my performance and had a lot of fun!
Next week is the next round of the SOAB and it's in Calgary, my home track!! I cant wait for it and I'm sure it will be a good hard race!

Well this long weekend was a great time!!! No injuries! Our group was composed of 5 riders with friends... we took home 5 trophies! So that was good. I felt good coming in, my conditioning has been good, I've been eating well and felt I had my head in the game. It was my first time on the Alix track. I practiced on Saturday and wasn't feeling so confident.. but I went in and rode my 4 - 15min motos.. Sunday morning practice felt so much better, they groomed the track and it was nice and tacky... by the time my motos came around, the track was pretty packed down and I dont think I did as well as I could have but I gave it my all and worked hard... it was hard.. I took 4th in the first moto and 5th on the 2nd for 5th overall...
But... we had a lot of fun and no one got hurt...
Looking forward to next weekend.. a double header Super Series... that will be fun, home track!!

This May long weekend, I will be racing the Super Series in Calgary and after my 2nd moto, I will be heading to Alix for the 4th round of the CMRC SOAB. I've never ridden that track before but everyone is telling me I will love it and will do well out there.. so I am pretty stoked! Tune in for the race results next week!!

So I showed up, and took 2nd overall! Great day! Loved the track, never rode ot before.. I was pretty nervous after walking it on Saturday night,... I made sure to walk it again Sunday morning. After practice I felt pretty good. I made sure to hit every jump full out and made my way to the top, 2nd overall!

Well, I was out for practice on Good Friday, Easter day and Easter Monday. I'm feeling good out there.. ready for more practice and racing already! I'm feeling sore from practice but I think I just need to loosen up a bit on the track... I am totally ready to start and can't wait any longer!

So after a week away and a week with a serious cold, I was back to practice last night! I was nervous driving into the parking lot before even unloading my bike! It was cold and windy but I was so excited to be back there that I just bit the dirt and rode through it.
The track is in horrible shape but I still put over 1.5hrs on my bike last night! I decided to leave when I noticed I was avoiding using my clutch and front brake because my fingers hurt too much!
I will take advantage of the nice weather this week and put in as many hours as I can.

What a day we had on our Last Round of the Fall series! The day started cold and cloudy. It didn't get much warmer throughout the day. We practiced with frozen fingers and noses! The track was OK, one I had never had a chance to practice on.
In my first Moto, I staled in a corner and 3 riders passed me while I was there, I got back on and caught up to one of them. I finished in 6th place. The 2nd Moto was better, I was 2nd out of the gate and finished 3rd. I finished 4th overall for Round 4.
My overall for the WRMA Fall Super Series is 3rd place so I received a nice shiny trophy! I feel my efforts and determination paid off! These were my 4 first races for a series and I finished 3rd overall! Not bad!!
Now I am going to keep working hard for the 2009 Spring Series. Until then I will be working out, eating well and practicing when the weather permits!

The 3rd round race for the Fall Series was great! The weather was awesome, the riders seemed all to be in a great shape and great mood. Including Me!
I finished 3rd in the 1st Moto and 2nd in the 2nd Moto. I got Hole-shot each time and am very excited about it all! I felt so much more confident and at ease. I replaced my lowering link with the stock link and my cornering has improved dramatically. I also changed the clicks on my suspension and am trying to find the perfect settings.
I am looking forward to Saturday for the last round and results of the series. Keep checking for updates, race results and race pictures!

So, this week I made practice twice and I will be getting one more day of practice on Saturday. I am getting better at hydrating lots before my races and so the process begins now!
Sunday's race should be really good and fun. We will hope for good weather!!

Well today was a great day! The track was awesome, the girls all gave 110% and most importantly there were no major injuries and we all had a really good time!
While I suprised lots of people and came in 3rd and 2nd for 3rd overall, I did great at the starting gates and just had a blast!
