Personal History
I am a Marine Corps Veteran with a couple rotations overseas, currently a Law Enforcement Officer and a single dad of two. My kids are both very involved in my racing. My son likes it because he gets to try out all the different riding spots, my daughter likes it because she gets to choose where we eat and what we do afterwards. I have found that including them both in my dream of being competitive in racing, it is also a win for them. The hours they spend with me at the track or the desert, the time cleaning the bike, and also the time wrenching on the bike as well. It is a team effort, but we all love it in our own way. When I am not riding, I am a typical dad, goofing around with my children, attending recitals, soccer games, and showing my children to embrace the day.
Riding Goals
I love riding. I picked it back up a few years after I got out of the Marine Corps. At first it was a way to get my adrenaline rush back, since I was not going overseas anymore. Now, I still love riding, but I use it as an outlet. I suffer from PTSD and one of the greatest cures for me has been riding, when I am out there, I do not feel anxious or any of the feelings I had before. I give a lot of my success in life to riding my dirt bike. This is my first full season with District 38 and I am loving it. Something about going handlebar to handlebar with fifty other bikes, it really gets the adrenaline going. I have set goals for this season, I am looking to be top 3 in my vet novice class. I am working to get bumped up to intermediate in transfer points, it is looking really good. Although desert racing is where I strive, I have found getting into the District 37 Big6 Grand Prix series really pushes me. I want to broaden my riding and I think Big6 is where I am going to find it.
So, the goals I set for myself this year are top 3 in points for District 38 at the end of the season and top 10 finishes with District 37 Big6
Competitive Highlights
I have placed top 5 in my last 5 District 38 races, with a podium in three races straight.
