Personal History
Hello, my name is Michael, I'm 39 years old and live in Southern California. I am a Heavy Equipment Operator by trade and love to be on 2 wheels any chance I get. I come from a family that has always owned motorcycles and have been around dirtbikes my whole life. I got my first dirtbike when I was 3, and have always owned a dirtbike ever since. Right now I currently ride a 2005 Honda CRF450R which is for competition use as well as for recreational use, and a 2009 Honda XR650L which is for recreational use and some occasional enduro events. At the moment I am running the CRF450R in the 2014 National Hare & Hound Series, in which I am current points leader in my class, and also some District 37 Desert events. This season we have four family members all competing together in the District 37 events as well as the National Hare & Hound Series, helping each other out and sharing the same pit. We also do guest pitting for any other racers who may need help at the events, anybody is always welcome. Guest pitting could also be a good to receive more exposure for sponsors products with the help of logo's, stickers, or even t-shirts to be in viewed in or around our pit.
During the summer months when the desert heats up I will start to incorporate more local track riding into my schedule. I will also be looking to enter some race events/series to compete in at local tracks to help keep me in shape as well as advance my skills to become a better rider. The closest local MX tracks include Glen Helen, Milestone, Lake Elsinore, and Competitive Edge.
With that in mind I will work very hard to promote any sponsors I have to the best of my ability through hard work and dedication to their brands while also keeping them updated with any news/results I may have as well as product ideas, details, and performance feedback. Thanks for taking time to read a few details about myself. Have a great day and good luck with your rider search.
Riding Goals
My riding goals for this season is to
1. Finish the 2014 National Hare & Hound Series first in my class. Right now I'm the current points leader and I expect to finish 1st in class for the 2014 season.
2. Continue to enter and do well in other District37 events and Hare Scrambles.
3. Incorporate more motocross into my routine so I can use it towards my training schedule as well as more race series events to enter during the hot summer months.
4. Set myself up to be in shape physically and mentally for the 2015 race season. Hard work, dedication, a solid workout routine, and a healthy diet will all be necessary to be a top competitor for the next year. I already have a plan to achieve my goal for the 2015 race season.
Competitive Highlights
After getting a DNF in round one of the 2014 National Hare & Hound Series, (my first race ever), I have earned a 3rd place in round 2, skipped round 3, then earned a pair of 1st places in rounds 4 & 5!
As of right now I'm currently the points leader in the standings for the 2014 Hare & Hound Championship for the 30+ Veteran Heavyweight Novice class! I'm pretty excited about that considering this is my first year competing and I'm definitely looking forward to next years season as well!
