Personal History
My name is Michael Lysyshyn and I live in Asquith Saskatchewan. I am fourteen years old and I am about 5’2 and 102 pounds. I train a couple times a week in the winter when I can’t ride just to stay fit. I also train when I can ride because staying fit can help prevents injuries from happening staying fit helps prevent mistakes when you are practicing or racing from your muscles getting tired or fatigued. Right now I ride a bone stock 2008 CRF 150RB so sponsors are a huge help in funding my racing career. I started riding about a year and a half ago and I have been racing for one year. Before I rode dirtbikes me and my younger cousin both rode quads and my older cousin had a dirtbike. When my younger cousin had a bad crash one day and ripped his spleen open he got a dirtbike not to long after. Then shortly after my younger cousin got a dirtbike I did to. At first I just rode for fun and didn’t take it very seriously but after I started to get faster I started to take it more seriously and now my goal is to become a professional racer when I am older. I love motocross because it is really fun it’s exciting and I like the challenge it poses. I am very athletic and excel in all the sports I play my favorite sports are high intensity sports like Motocross, and Paintball what I like most about them is how they are fun, very challenging, and have a really high intensity level. Other sports I like are BMX, Snowboarding, Hockey, Hunting, and Fishing. Even though I play a lot of different sports dirtbiking is defiantly my favorite! I like watching the pro Motocross and Suppercross races because I think it’s cool to watch the best riders in the world compete against each other. My favorite riders are Ryan Villopoto, Chad Reed, Blake Bagget, and Dean Wilson (I also have a cat named Villopoto) I like working on my dirtbike doing things like detailing, cleaning air filters, oil changes, chain tension adjustments, spoke tightening anything to keep it running and looking good. I have always liked to take things apart and learn how they work so doing maintenance on my bike is a great way for me to learn how it all works and how I can make my bike better. I have one track at my mom’s house and we live about 40 minutes away from Temple Hill Motorcycle Park. My favorite track is Temple Hill it is a very challenging track with its steep elevation changes, suppercross style layout, big jumps, and lots of different terrain not to mention sometimes when I’m there some pro riders will show up and help me out. Although it is a very challenging track it is also a great place to train with such a massive variation of obstacles and terrain after I rode this track all the other tracks were so much easier to ride and adapt to.
I am dedicated to acting in a professional manner on and off the track and being as friendly and helpful as I can to others. I take a lot of pride in my sponsors and promote them as best I can on and off the track. I am always happy to answer any questions about my sponsors and promote my sponsors in the most professional way possible.
