Personal History
I am 40 years old, married, 2 children. I am a veteran of the US Army and a decorated war veteran of the Gulf War and a Paratrooper. I have been out of the military about 9 years and am in the communications field. I have been riding motorcycles since about 6 years old and just recently decided to get into competitive racing.
Riding Goals
Next year, it is my goal to finish in the top 3 of the 250FC class in the TORCS series and top 3 in the Over 40B class in the STORM racing series. Every year, I strive to get just a little better and better with my ultimate goal being a top 3 rider in the A class in whatever series I race in.
Competitive Highlights
First year of competitive racing was 2008 where I finished 6th overall for the season out of 45 riders.
The next year, I moved up to the Over 30C class and finished 3rd overall for the season. During that season, I broke 2 bones in my left hand in the second race of the year. I had surgery 3 days later. Doctor put 2 plates and 8 screws in my hand. I had him develop a brace for my hand that would fit over the handlebar but not clamp to it. I purchased a Rekluse clutch for my YZ250, missed one race and the following race I finished 3rd even with the brace. Dedicated racer!
