Personal History
My name is Michael Hall but I go by Shane. I go to Patton High school and have a GPA of 3.3. I am 6"1' and weigh 168 pounds. I have been racing ever since I was 3 years old but due to injuries and my dad losing his job we have not been able to race much the past couple years. We really have to pick and choose what races to hit but this year we are planning on trying to hit all the nationals. I train everyday and I ride as much as I can. I really look forward to turning pro one day.
Riding Goals
My goals this year is to race all the nationals and go to Loretta’s in both schoolboy classes and get a top 5. I am also planning on racing the gncc series in either the openC or 250C class.
Competitive Highlights
I have many competitive highlights from 50's all the way to big bikes. In 2000 I got 3rd at Loretta’s in the 50cc stk 4-6 class. Also two 3rd's at Branson in the 50cc 4-6 mod and stk. In 2001 at the world mini grand prix I got 2nd in the 4-6 stk class and a first in the 4-6 mod class. Also this year I received a first in the 4-6 mod and stk class and a 20th in the 65 6-8 class at the Ponca City National. At Loretta’s this year I got a 15th in the 4-6 stk class but had two moto wins with a dnf. In Branson I got two seconds in the 4-6 mod and stk class and got a third in the 4-6 class at the Mini Olympics. In 2002 I moved up to the 50 7-8 class. This year at the World Mini Grand Prix I won one moto and wrecked the others but still finished with a top ten overall. This was also my first 65 race in the 65cc 6-8 class and I received a top ten overall in that also. After that race I quit due to injury until April of 2006. I went to Loretta’s this year in the 85 7-11 mod and stock and got a 33rd in both classes. The last few years I have not been racing much due to injuries and bad economy causing my dad to lose his job but I still practiced as much as possible. Last year we started hitting races again and my first one was the GNCC Steal Creek in Morganton, NC and I got a third in the schoolboy class. We made it to some area qualifiers also and in the southeast region I got a 2nd in the 250cstk class and a 3rd in the mod class. That same race I won the 450C class. Also we attended the Northeast are qualifiers and there I got a 2nd in both 250C classes and a 1st in the 450C class. We also attended the Ponca City National last year. I raced 250 novice mod and stock and 450 novice mod and stock. In the 250 classes I got two seconds overall. In the 450 class I went into the final race with a 1, 1 in both classes and due to bad starts the last moto I received two seconds for the overall in the 450 classes. The last race we attended was the Mini Olympics and I had bike problems all week so I ended up with a 23rd in the Open B modified class.
