Personal History

I have raced since the end of 2006, and got on big bikes in early 2010. A crash during a race in July of 2011 kept me off of my bike for a year, but I have since regrouped and I am more determined and capable than ever. My riding over the past few months has been reflective of this as well - I've found that I'm no longer afraid of things that used to intimidate me, and I'm willing to do what it takes to achieve my goals.

Riding Goals

My focus for the last two years has been on making it to Loretta Lynn's. I felt close last year after leaving my regional at Spring Creek MX in Millville, MN. This year, a string of bad luck brought me nothing but disappointment at each of my qualifiers. Having been limited in my options, I was left with just 3 remaining qualifiers after returning from a broken collarbone and shoulder blade sustained in February at the Milwaukee AX round. My chances at each round looked great, but after missing a moto, and ending up on the ground 7 times in 4 motos at my last qualifier, I couldn't make it happen. With my goals in mind, I'm planning on spending a year at Club MX in Chesterfield, SC in the hopes that next year the work will have payed off.

Competitive Highlights

My season began looking bright with a win at the Milwaukee AX, but I unfortunately walked away with a broken shoulder. Being injured early in the season left me in a bad position for this year, as I jumped into the season late and couldn't put things together at my qualifiers. My luck has begun to turn, however, as I'm seeing improved results at several of the smaller local events that I've raced since then. I've been able to place myself at the top of my classes in the local stadium and outdoor races, and have a few more rounds and fair races left on my schedule before I intend to depart for Club MX for a year.
