Hi, my name is Matthew Zmetra and I am 17 years old.  I race youth 125 C in NEMX which is New England Motocross and love what I do. I have a Kawasaki KX250f and I have been riding for 5 years.  My first bike was a Suzuki DRZ125L.  I received a KX100 for my 14th birthday and raced the fall season for NEMX and I came in 10th place out of 40 for the championship, in 2008.  I am motivated to do what I love, which is racing.  I am a B average student; I do get a few A's here and there.  I stay in shape for motocross and I like to jog with my dog.  In school I know a lot of people that do drugs and I think that it's just a waste.  I would rather be focused on motocross.  I have a lot of friends that don't do drugs and people say that I am fun to be around, I like that my friends and I have goals and aspirations.  I have a very good relationship with my mom and dad and I am very family oriented.

Riding Goals

Some of my goals for 2011 are to maintain my B average in school; strive to get 5th place or better in every race; stay close with my family and friends; continue to keep in shape by doing exercise so I am fit for racing and this includes eating healthy.

Competitive Highlights

I like to get a good start and keep it as best I can.  If I don't make a good start I feel that I have to get up front and passing everyone just makes me feel good inside, gets my adrenaline going.  I just simply want to win every race I am competing in.
