Personal History

My name is Matthew Outten, I am 39 years old and have been riding motorcycles since I was 5. I have been racing motocross for over 20 years. I am a 1SG in the US Army and I am about to retire from active duty this year. I have served in Iraq 4 times. Operation Desert Storm, Operation Intrinsic action and Operation Iraqi freedom 2 times. I have been racing motocross during my time in the military and it was a great experience. I have been able to race in Maryland as a kid, Texas, Colorado, Arizona, Georgia, Missouri, Oklahoma and overseas in Germany, italy and Austria. if it were not for being on active duty I would not have had the chance to race in so many states and overseas. I have been married to the sme wonderful lady for 20 years and I have 2 boys Christopher 19 and Joshua 13. My boys love riding and Christopher was racing in the Missouri State series and AMA district 18 with me. We live in Waynesville, Missouri and I plan on retiring here this year.

Riding Goals

Some of my goals for the upcomming year are to finish top 3 in the Missouri state series, qualify for Loretta Lynns and attend that race, finish my college degree, find a job in the motorcycle industry and open my own motocross track here in the local area.

Competitive Highlights

A few of my competitive highlights are winning the 250 novice class series in El paso, Texas. Winning the Intermediate class "hillbilly GP" series, endero raceing here in Missouri. finishing 3rd in the +30 Pro Am class in the Missouri state series and I had a 2nd and 3rd place finish in the El paso Budweiser international arena cross race.
