Personal History

Hi my name is Matt Fegan and I’m 18 years old and a senior from Bay City Western High School.  Riding dirt bikes is my passion and like everyone on this site I love doing it.  I got a job pretty much as soon as I turned 16 so I could have money to support myself and my motocross because I don’t like to ask my parents for money because I think they do enough for me as it is.  Being 18 with a minimum wage job makes it hard to support a sport as expensive as motocross and I even got a co-op job at a hospital my senior year to help with the cost. I drive a dodge ram 5.9L 1500 so it cost a lot to drive that beast around every day to school and work.  I also pay bills to my parents for insurance and regrestration on my truck which adds to my expenses.  This is why I made a profile on here.  I would greatly appreciate help from ANY companies that are willing to help a rider out to have a good time but not totally break my bank account.  As I said I go to Western High School and I am a B student and work hard on my grades, I want to go to college and get a good paying job so I can support my motocross lifestyle.  Over the past couple years I have become more into motocross more than ever and have gotten a lot better I personally think. I still have a lot to learn and hope to get faster yet.  I have 2 sisters and one brother.  My parents try to support all of us equally in all of our sports and passions.  I am lucky to have my very nice 2007 CRF450R and can’t thank them enough for getting it for me along with my truck.  My little brother is quite the athlete and plays baseball and football, and has recently been getting a lot of attention from my parents being on a travel baseball team and making the JV team for school his freshman year.  I am proud to see him be as beast as he is and hopes he continues on his path and maybe get college scholarships for his sports.  I have felt that my parents spotlight it on him though which I totally understand.  Yet it does not help the frustration of them buying him anything he needs for his sports and me trying the best I can to buy things I need for riding and also keeping up on my bills to my parents. My dad calls my riding a "hobby" and does not realize how important it is to me like most of you all know and would understand. Motocross and dirt bikes are a lifestyle for people like you and me.  I just ask for some help from all of you to keep me riding at affordable costs.  I do plan on going to college and paying my parents off for my dirt bike and truck and it would be nice to save some money on motocross by getting some sponsors so I can eventually accomplish my goals.  Thank you for taking your time to read this and I would appreciate any help or support.

Riding Goals

To continue to improve my skills. Me and a friend plan on training to qualify for Loretta Lynns this year so i am hoping that we can get it done.

Competitive Highlights

The race at 33 motosports was a very muddy race and despite the mud and a near bald rear tire i was able to pull both wholeshots and stay in the race the best i could under the conditions. Also my first race ever i felt i held my own against everyone who has been doing it since they were little.
