Personal History
My name is Matthew Emms i am 20 years old and a full out privateer. I race 125 intermediate on a 2003 kawasaki kx 125 and jst recently raced and won 250 intermediate for the first time. I live, sleep, and dream big about motocross and have since i was a little kid going huge on my z50. I have more love for this sport than your average die hard. I am also a great role model for the new and up coming riders, knowing i was there one day and learned alot from the old guys. Currently i race in the peace motocross association(pma), located in the northern area of British Columbia and Alberta. I have raced in this club since 2001 and have loved every minute of it. I come from a family with not a lot and started racing the sport by doing odd jobs like mowing lawns because i was to young to work. With a little but as much help as possible from my parents i found a way to slip by riding older bikes keeping my dad(mechanic) up all hours of the night trying to fix things on a regular basis the night before the race. The crazy thing is i managed to still finish the day overly well for my situation with a smile on my face wether i won or not i loved the sport. Well since then its pretty much been about the same thing ive struggled to keep up not because i have a hard time, mainly because im working to pay for the break downs on my bike and well everyone is out on the track getting seat time, never getting a fair chance. Here i am now broken down bike once again writing this letter hoping for some kind of miracle cause i know i could be a champ and along with that id love to show kids and the younger generation what real die hard motocross is all about. If you know what real motocross is all about i dont mean gettin everything handed to them on a platter no, I mean rolling in on fumes of gas only gettin one moto or a couple laps because your bike blew up and somehow you still have a huge smile on your face cause you love it and as hard as you worked for it every rattle and bang and buck you blew was worth it cause you had a blast doing that one sick whip that is the the real deal and thats how you appretiate it and let me tell you if you helped me i would most definetely appretiate that...
Riding Goals
my goals for the coming year are you get some sort of rider support and take it as far as possible id like to do at least one big event somewhere like loretta lynns or race budds creek.
I would also at some point if i get the seat time and bike to ride, move up to 125 and 250 expert
