Personal History

I am a motorsports enthusiast down to my core, and it is that passion that fuels me for each day of my life. From the moment I first swung my leg over a friend's 1986 XR80 at a young age, I was hooked! After getting out of the Marine Corps in 2004, I drag raced cars until 2008 in both NHRA and NMCA circuits. After that, I drag raced motorcycles in NHRA and NHDRO circuits until 2014 when I had a life changing accident at the drag strip. After a long and painful recovery period, I decided to take up motocross, where my original motorsports passion had started more than twenty years prior. I had always rode on the dirt, but never competed in motocross until the 2016 season. The 2016 season was my rookie season, and it was a great learning experience. I was fortunate enough to train with pro riders Gared Steinke and Steve Mages, and build upon my program. During the 2017 season, I finished in the top 10 in all races that I competed in. At the end of the 2017 season, I found out I needed open heart surgery, consisting of aortic valve repair and a portion of my aorta replaced due to a long-term cardiac condition that I was dealing with. The surgery was successful, and the prognosis is good for the future. For 2018, I am returning healthier and stronger, and will be racing motocross in the Chicago Dirt Riders series and AMA District 17 in the 30+B/C and Open classes, as well as the District 17 GP series.
