Personal History
My name is Matt Asay, I started riding dirt bikes at the age of five. Started racing competitively at the age of eleven and did so consistently until age twenty. At the peek of my racing career I was a competitive 125 Nov racer usually top five. Now I am back after taking a little brake to get an education.
In the real world my employer is Life Care EMS. I am a full time Paramedic and working towards getting my RN. I love what I do almost as much as motocross. My ridding buddies consist of my two brothers, one cousin, and a few other friends. We are all pretty competitive with each other but keep it clean for the most part.
Now that I am back in the saddle I will be racing +25 amateur and on occasion 125 nov. I ride a 2004 CRF 250. Any support that I could get for my efforts will be a big help. If I had access to MX SPONSOR . COM back in my younger days things may have been different.
Riding Goals
My current goals are to race the upcoming 2008 Texas winter series and finish in the top three overall. In the mean time I will run as many local races as I can to get back in the grove. I expect to have a few sponsors before the winter series comes around and want to give them good results.
Competitive Highlights
I started racing 80 beg back in 1994 on a CR 80 then on to 11-13 80 class. I had a few top five results in that. In 1999 I raced the 125 beg class off and on for about a year. In 200 I bought a 2001 CR 125 and moved up to the 125 Nov. I raced that class for about 2 years and had a few wins at local tracks and some top 10 series over all positions in the Texas Oklahoma Pro Circuit Series and the Texas Winter series.
