Personal History
I began riding in 1995 in the Senior mini class. In 1997 I began riding with a local pro named Jon Rightmire and my riding really took off. I moved through the novice and into the amateur ranks. In 1998 Jon passed away in a freak riding accident and I took some years off from racing. I came back to racing in 2005 and realized how much I love this sport. I ride and race to honor my friend, and when I think of pulling off when I crash or I am tired and having a bad moto, I think of Jon.
This year was my first year trying to qualify for Loretta Lynn's and I'm happy to say I succeeded. I suffered a seperated shoulder in practice at the ranch but still line up and finished all 3 moto's. It was a dream come true to race there, and I'm going back next year to get myself one of those moto metals!
Riding Goals
My number one goal for next season is to get a moto metal from Loretta Lynn's! I'd love to put in three consistent moto's and be in contention for the championship as well. I learned a lot this year since it was my first year there, and I think I can put what I learned to good use next season. I'll train harder and be 100% prepared.
