Personal History

My name is Mason Reeves. I am 15 years old and currently a freshman at Elma High School. I am holding a 3.7 GPA and a member of Honors Society. I have two brothers and one sister. Austin my older brother will be 16 in January and attends Montesano High School. Payton my sister is 11 and is in the 6th grade at Elma middle School. She isn’t into racing personally but enjoys coming out and supporting me at the track. Chandler is the youngest 11 and in the 5th grade. Chandler is also involved and enjoys racing.

My first dirt bike was a 2000 Yamaha PW 50. I was almost 5 years old when I received that bike. Just before I turned 5 was the first time I had the chance to race. I raced the PW 50 for a year at local tracks like mudslingers and enjoyed trail riding every chance we got. Once I turned 7 I was given a 2002 KTM Pro Jr 50. That’s when I had really got to experience going fast on the track. I continued to race at mudslingers and was given the opportunity to ride at the Tacoma Dome. I took about a year off from riding and got involved in other sports activities that I enjoy such as baseball, football and basketball. When I turned 12 I received a 2008 KX 100. That’s when I really started to realize how much I enjoyed motocross. I raced at tracks all over Washington with the support of my parents. I outgrew the 100 and passed it down to my brother. My current bike is a 2011 KX250F. I am working real hard to try and be competitive with the new and older group of riders I’m with. During the summer I like to do many activities besides racing such as inner tubing at the lake, hanging out with friends, and riding BMX.

Riding Goals

I have set many goals for this upcoming year; they range from motocross to academics. Some of my motocross goals for this season are to become an overall better rider. I am hoping to greatly improve my technique and put down more consistent laps. Another goal I have is to consistently get in the A Main and win a few races. Some other goals I have besides racing involve football, academics, and weight lifting. I want to maintain at least a 3.5 GPA through this school year. Also I am hoping for a good football season and ready to work hard. And I have many goals set for weight such as getting my squat up to 300lbs and my bench up to 200lbs by the end of the year.

Competitive Highlights

I have had many highlights in my 11 years of racing. A big accomplishment to me is just sticking with racing and being competitive in the current class I race in. When I won my first in the supermini class back in 2009 at Straddleline ORV park was big highlight personally. After getting the taste of winning I continued to strive to get better and win more races . Two months after getting my 2011 kx250f I started winning races in what I considered the fast class. Also when I started racing the intermediate class was a huge step for me because they were the guys that I looked up to back when I was racing 50's and my kx100.
