On January 2nd Mason raced his KTM 85CC for the first time. He also raced in his first arena type events that weekend. He raced in the 85CC beginner and 85cc junior and qualified for the main event in both races. He did well against riders that clearly had much more experience than him. In the 85cc beginner class, he was the only rider to double the finish line jump. His comment before the race was " I saw a 50cc rider do it, so I know I can too".

Mason had another fantastic weekend in Lincoln, Ne. He raced in the Great Plains Vintage Motocross points series finals. He took 1st in both of his mottos and won the series points championship. He did not get to race his 85SX because they had the 65s and 85s run together. He was a little bummed, but winning the championship made up for it. It was also fun watching him give the 85s a run for their money. He beat a handful of them.
It is pretty impressive how well he is doing considering his 1st race ever was in June.

Mason had a great weekend at Westfair in Council Bluffs, Iowa this weekend. He has definitely turned a corner in this sport. He has gone from the back of the pack to racing with the fast kids. This kid certainly seems to have something special and has a lot of fun.
This was the fastest we've seen him ride yet. He was jumping all of the doubles and launched the finish line jump. He even had one of the "fast kids" come up to him after the race and tell him nice work. He heard Mason coming and had to race even harder to stay in front of him.
