Personal History

Hi! My name is Mary Dunbar and I started riding dirt bikes at the age of 5. I got into riding and racing because of my older brother and my dad. Some of my best memories are from racing all around the United States. However, I took a long break at the beginning of High School because I also loved to play basketball. I played my 4 years of high school of basketball to then move onto play college basketball for 2 years at a community college. After I graduated from there, I really wanted to go back to racing. There isn't any other thing or sport that gave me those at the gate right before the gate drop feeling. I have been practicing and getting back to the feeling of being on a bike and putting in the work to get back to where I was. Since I decided to go back to racing almost a year ago I have accomplished some pretty cool things. I won the 22-23 GT Arenacross Women's series, finished second in the Midwest Extreme series (tied with first) and many top three places from races in Oklahoma, Missouri and Kansas. I work full-time and still attend online school through the University of Arizona for my bachelors in business and marketing. I'm excited to be back racing and making some more memories!

Riding Goals

A few riding goals for me would be winning some more Arenacross championship and trying to qualify for Loretta Lynns next year. I would like to make racing more of a job rather than a hobby. I have the best time riding my dirt bike and I hope I can continue riding until I can't anymore.

Competitive Highlights

I am a very competitive person who doesn't like to lose. I feel like it shows in my racing with my git and never give up attitude. I have battled many people to get a championship and win races. I will do everything it takes to progress and get better because I want to be better than some of the best women riders out there.
