Personal History
I began racing in the mini class in 1987 at Lake Sugartree, in Axton, Va., and I have raced most years since then while I was serving my country in the Army. The relocations by the Army have actually afforded me some great opportunities to race all over the country - I have raced in a variety of classes in 16 states and won in most of them!
I race modern events in +40 class, and also enjoy restoring old bikes to compete in vintage events. I like to think of myself as a "micro influencer" in the sport - I'm an active member on the Vital MX forum, and I also produce a show called "Retro MX Reviews" which I release on my YouTube channel. In it, I test ride old bikes to help perspective vintage racers understand what they may be getting into if they choose that particular bike.
I love this sport and intend to keep racing as long as I can!
Riding Goals
Preparing for the 2020 motocross season across the Southeast in the +40 class, as well as AHRMA Pre Modern and Next Generation Vintage Motocross events.
I am contemplating trying to qualify for Loretta Lynn's Amateur National Championship in 2020, at least to the regional level.
